To prepare, your skin will be thoroughly cleansed and prepped for the procedure. A cooling gel may be applied to the treatment area to help reduce discomfort. The Elluminate IPL handpiece will be passed over the treatment area, delivering light pulses to the skin. This light energy targets pigmentation, redness, and other imperfections while stimulating collagen production and promoting skin rejuvenation.
After the procedure, your skin may be slightly red or swollen, but this should subside within a few hours. You can return to your normal activities immediately after the procedure.
To ensure the best possible results and minimize any discomfort or side effects, it is essential to follow these post-procedure care instructions:
- Avoid sun exposure: For at least a week after the procedure, you should avoid direct exposure and wear a broad-spectrum sunscreen with at least SPF 30.
