A Singular Vision

Dr. Vinyard's professional journey has been singularly focused on providing transformative and expertly crafted aesthetic makeovers for his patients.

The Makeover Ideology

William J. Vinyard, MD, FACS, stands out distinctly in the realm of plastic surgery with an approach that significantly deviates from the commonplace. Known as The Makeover Master, he embeds an exclusive makeover ideology into his practice, which transcends the typical offerings of plastic surgeons. Unlike the standard, often transactional interactions associated with conventional surgery practices, Dr. Vinyard delves deeper. He meticulously crafts each aesthetic journey to be comprehensive and transformative, emphasizing holistic enhancement rather than isolated changes. His belief that each individual’s aesthetic journey should be as unique and authentic as they are, sets him—and your transformative experience—apart in a sea of uniformity. Here, in the dedicated hands of Dr. Vinyard, your makeover becomes not just a physical alteration but a harmoniously rejuvenating journey that impeccably balances expertise, empathy, and innovative technique.

Creating a Masterpiece:
Dr. Vinyard's Path
to Establishing VIPS

After completing his surgical training and advanced fellowships, Dr. Vinyard began his search for the right location to begin his plastic surgery practice and raise his children. He spent considerable time and effort evaluating several options around the country. In the tranquil settings of Lake Guntersville, AL, Dr. Vinyard discovered not just a location, but a community in which to nestle his burgeoning plastic surgery practice.

From his initial attraction to the world of plastic surgery, Dr. Vinyard harbored visions of his future practice. The opportunity presented in partnership with Marshall Medical Centers wasn't merely a chance to establish a practice but to meticulously build a plastic surgery program from scratch. Dr. Vinyard always envisioned creating a practice finely attuned to the needs and aspirations of his patients, surpassing their anticipations in their aesthetic journey. The serene beauty and discrete nature of Lake Guntersville effortlessly aligned with the ethos of what would become the Vinyard Institute of Plastic Surgery (VIPS).

Inaugurated in 2010 with a harmonized objective alongside Marshall Medical Centers to introduce Plastic Surgery Services to Marshall County, VIPS wasn’t simply opened—it was crafted. Dr. Vinyard designed and established an AAAASF-accredited Surgical Center, achieving board certification from the American Board of Plastic Surgery on his inaugural attempt. His memberships with esteemed organizations such as the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS), the American College of Surgeons (ACS), and the Southeastern Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons (SESPRS) further underscored his dedicated pursuit of excellence within the field of plastic surgery.

Diving into a New Chapter: The Makeover Master Takes South Florida

Despite the thriving growth of his practice in Guntersville, AL, Dr. Vinyard recognized the limitations posed by the local population size in sustaining a long-term plastic surgery practice. Ever drawn to the alluring warmth of the Atlantic Ocean, and holding a lifelong aspiration to delve deeper into his passions of scuba diving and underwater photography, a move to a coastal locale had always lingered in his plans. Both Dr. Vinyard and his wife proudly hold Rescue Diver Certifications, and with ambitions to ascend to the rank of master scuba divers, they've also imbued their two children with a love for the ocean, nurturing them to become Open Water Certified Scuba divers. In 2014, an esteemed opportunity to relocate to Palm Beach County materialized, allowing Dr. Vinyard to seamlessly meld his career with his aquatic passions and join the esteemed team at Plastic Surgery of Palm Beach. Bringing along his signature Midwestern warmth and personability, coupled with his advanced technical skills and methodologies, Dr. Vinyard swiftly carved out a sterling reputation in South Florida, becoming synonymous with compassionate patient care and delivering aesthetically exquisite results.

Elevating Plastic Surgery

In 2018, Dr. Vinyard embraced the initiative to resurrect the esteemed VIPS Experience in South Florida, returning to a solo practice to realize his aspirational vision. His mission is to elevate the standard of cosmetic plastic surgery, crafting not just exceptional results but also an unparalleled patient experience that surpasses expectations. Thus, the Vinyard Institute of Plastic Surgery (VIPS) was reborn in November of 2018.
