Close up on youhng woman's face.

Wrinkles, fine lines, loss of volume – all of these factors contribute to the appearance of aging in men and women alike. A liquid facelift recontours the face through trusted injectable dermal fillers like Juvéderm®, Restylane®, and Radiesse®. Fillers are often used in addition to BOTOX® so you can appear younger with enhanced, long-lasting results.

At the Vinyard Institute of Plastic Surgery in Port St. Lucie, FL, liquid facelifts are performed by board-certified plastic surgeon Dr. William Vinyard. He chooses each product to address a specific issue with the skin, such as sagging skin, deep creases, and visible expression lines. These injections ultimately reduce the appearance of the traditional markers of aging.

So, is a liquid facelift your best solution for looking and feeling younger? Today, we’re going to cover some of the areas injectables can address, as well as the procedure processes and techniques. Learn more here or call to schedule a personalized consultation with Dr. Vinyard.

The liquid facelift solution

Our bodies stop naturally producing collagen in our mid-to-late 20s, and collagen continues to decrease after age 30. The result is loose, drooping skin that develops wrinkles more easily. While many individuals want to fight this process, not everyone wants to have surgery to look younger. A liquid facelift is a simple, nonsurgical procedure that makes use of injectables such as dermal fillers to relax and plump up the skin. The use of BOTOX relaxes the muscles responsible for making facial expressions that cause creases and lines.

As one of the leading anti-aging trends on the market, a liquid facelift is a personalized treatment that reduces sagging and restores lost volume to the face. With a liquid facelift, the team at the Vinyard Institute of Plastic Surgery can help to:

  • Reduce wrinkles, fine lines, and facial folds
  • Subtly lift drooping features, such as the brows or jowls
  • Improve sunken skin, bags, and circles under the eyes
  • Add volume to the temples or cheeks
  • Give you fuller lips

As cosmetic medicine has advanced over time, newer and more improved solutions to aging have been developed. Dr. Vinyard is pleased to offer patients a custom anti-aging treatment in the form of a liquid facelift. Next, we will cover what happens during the consultation, injection, and aftercare process.

The consultation process

We suggest scheduling a consultation with Dr. Vinyard and his staff to see which injectables will work best for your cosmetic goals. Dr. Vinyard uses state-of-the-art fillers like Juvéderm, Restylane, and Radiesse alongside BOTOX. We will gladly explain the advantages and disadvantages of each filler and how they work together to make you appear more youthful.

Ideal candidates for a liquid facelift wish to rejuvenate their appearance and correct the visible signs of aging. This includes moderate to severe wrinkles, Crow’s feet, marionette lines, nasolabial folds, and more. Some injectables can also treat loss of volume in the lips or cheeks. A liquid facelift is an excellent alternative if you are not interested in the expense and recovery time of cosmetic surgery such as a facelift, brow lift, or eyelid lift.

Please inform a member of our team if you have medical conditions or allergies that may prevent you from getting injections. Women who are breastfeeding, pregnant, or considering pregnancy within 1 – 2 years are not recommended to use BOTOX or dermal fillers at this time. However, we may be able to offer alternative skin care solutions for you.

Liquid facelift procedure and aftercare

Dermal injections are performed inside one of our comfortable treatment rooms at the Vinyard Institute of Plastic Surgery in Port St. Lucie, FL. We begin the appointment by cleansing your face to prepare you for the procedure. Injections take about 30 – 60 minutes after the initial consultation. Dr. Vinyard may ask you to make a few facial expressions such as squinting and frowning to see where injections are best placed. We can use a numbing cream to increase your comfort if you prefer, but it is generally not required. Some dermal fillers, such as Juvéderm, contain an anesthetic.

The dosage, determined at your treatment planning session, will be prepared using an ultra-fine needle. Each formula is administered in different areas of the face to fit your cosmetic needs and goals. Multiple injections are typically followed with a cold, gentle compress to decrease swelling and bruising. Afterward, you can return to your daily routine, but we suggest avoiding strenuous activity for at least 24 hours. Don’t touch your face for the rest of the day to avoid massaging the filler into other areas.
